"SONG OF THE MEADOWLARK"---This piece was created around the beginning of August 2018. It was about the three-month mark since Geri was called home to heaven. I found this feather in my back yard one day and I instantly thought of Geri. I did not know what type of feather it was until someone pointed it out to me that it was a Meadowlark feather. The meadowlark sings such a beautiful song. I listened to recordings of its song and it brings peace to my heart. In native culture the meadowlark brings messages to people. The messages are considered to be of good news. We would say to one another, like all married couples and people in relationships say, "I love you," "You are loved," "You have my heart." I knew this was a message Geri sent to me to let me know, "things are okay." "You will hurt, but I am with you." "I will always be with you." "You have my heart!" The feather is situated next the message, "You have my Heart," as if the feather wrote the message on the canvas.

This canvas print is sure to make a statement in any space. It's hand-stretched on a poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte finish coating.
